TOYOTA SAFE DRIVING INSTRUCTOR TRAINING PROGRAM

Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) and the Vietnam Traffic Police jointly established a safe driving instructor training program for selected traffic police officers and Toyota employees in August 2014. Since the safety driving program's establishment, five instructor training courses have been taught by Toyota's leading safety driving instructor, Toshio Kanno, who has 33 years' experience as a test driver for Toyota and has trained over 60,000 people in his career. Toyota aims to use this program to pass on safe driving knowledge as widely as possible to make a significant contribution to traffic safety in Vietnam. Vice Minister of Ministry of Public Security (MPS) Bui Van Thanh said: “With the target of reducing traffic accidents and improving traffic safety situation step-by- step, MPS is looking to expand this training program to more participants. I believe this is a practical and meaningful program which can contribute to traffic safety enhancement”. The graduation ceremony for the eight selected participants was held in March this year and program graduates will begin to share the knowledge learnt with other policemen of the Traffic Police, TMV employees, as well as with the general public.
