Basic Policy toward the protection of customer's Personal Information
1. Obtaining Personal Information
TMAP will, when obtaining any Personal Information, identify the purpose of use thereof and obtain it to the extent it becomes necessary and through a lawful and fair manner.

1) Usage of Personal Information
TMAP will not use any Personal Information obtained pursuant to the Clause 1 above for any purpose without obtaining prior consent from the relevant owner.
The Personal Information that TMAP has obtained shall be used for the following purposes only:
when introducing in a commercial manner, any and all goods, services, etc. that the Toyota Motor Corporation and its Affiliates/Distributors (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Toyota") provides;
when conducting a survey through questionnaire for enabling Toyota to plan and develop any goods, and/or to study any measure to improve customer satisfaction, etc.;
when conducting any and all things needed to respond to any enquiries received from any customer and to provide prompt service, etc. according to the requirements prescribed under the Personal Data Protection Act of 2012;
for any other purposes identified when obtaining the relevant Personal Information;
when required to comply with any provisions in any applicable laws and regulations or follow any governmental notification and/or guidelines, etc.;
when required to disclose information while dealing emergency situations such as natural disaster, war, etc.; and
when responding to investigation, evaluation and all matters affecting national interest.
*For purposes of this policy, the Personal Information to be provided will be as follows:
Customer's name, address, age, telephone number, vehicle information and any other information relating to customer's counseling description.
2) Provision of any Personal Information to any Third Party
TMAP shall not provide any and all Personal Information obtained pursuant to Clause 1. above to any other Third Party without obtaining prior consent from the relevant customer, except for providing the same pursuant to 5, 6 and 7 of the Sub-clause 1) Clause 2. above, provided however, that TMAP may provide any Personal Information to any third party to the extent that is necessary to achieve the purpose thereof.
In the event that the disclosure of the Personal Information is pursuant to no. 5, 6 or 7 of the Sub-clause 1) Clause 2, TMAP shall request the recipient and/or relevant third party to handle the Personal Information in a proper manner. TMAP shall also monitor the use thereof to ensure that it will not violate any provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act of 2012.
3) Proper control of Personal Information
TMAP shall implement safety measures to prevent any and all Personal Information from being accessed in an unauthorized manner, from being lost, damaged, altered, or leaked, etc. In addition, TMAP shall endeavor to promote activities including regular training and education not only for those who will handle any Personal Information but also to all employees.
3. Enquiries, etc.
Any customer may, by following the prescribed procedures of TMAP, request TMAP to disclose to a third party any and all Personal Information which has been kept by TMAP. All requests to disclose any Personal Information shall be obtained directly from TMAP.
TMAP will be willing to take care of any enquiries and/or consultations pertaining to any Personal Information, including cases of any customer requesting to make any correction to, discontinue the use of and/or delete any Personal Information. In any event, any and all enquires or consultations from any customer shall be handled in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act of 2012 (Act 26 of 2012) of Singapore.
4. Compliance with applicable laws and regulations and improvements
TMAP will continue to make improvements in observing any applicable laws and regulations and/or any governmental notifications and guidelines so that any and all Personal Information may be handled in a proper manner. Any modification thereof will be reflected in this Basic Policy from time to time.
Toyota Motor Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “TMAP”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides an application Seat Selfie (“Application”) that allows you to take pictures and have fun with seatbelt usage.
TMAP respects your right to privacy. Your ability to make informed choices about the use of your information is important to us.
Our Policy applies to all users and others who access the Service (“Users”).
1. Information we collect
We collect the following types of information.
Information you provide us directly:
Your username, email address, country of residence, date of birth and gender when you install and register the Application.
User Content (e.g. photos, comments, and other materials) that you make/take with the Application.
We use third-party analytics tools to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Application. These tools collect information sent by your device or the Application. We collect and use this analytics information with analytics information from other Users so that it cannot reasonably be used to identify any particular individual User.
We collect information about your device, including the hardware model, operating system and version, browser type and language, and mobile network information.
We also collect certain device information that will help us diagnose problems in the event you experience any crash or other problem while using our Application.
Metadata is usually technical data that is associated with User Content. For example, Metadata can describe how, when and by whom a piece of User Content was collected and how that content is formatted.
Users can add or may have Metadata added to their User Content including a hashtag (e.g. to mark keywords when you post a photo), geotag (e.g. to mark your location to a photo), comments or other data. This makes your User Content more searchable by others and more interactive. If you geotag your photo or tag your photo using other's APIs then, your latitude and longitude will be stored with the photo and searchable (e.g. through a location or map feature) if your photo is made public by you in accordance with your privacy settings.

The Application allows you to share photographs through certain social networks. Please remember that any information publicly disclosed on a social network will not be considered Personal Information by us. You should exercise caution when disclosing any information (including Personal Information) in such a venue, as you do not know who will access or use such information and for what purposes.
If you input your login information of any social network in order to share or post photographs using the Application, such login information is only stored locally on your device, but is not provided to TMAP.
The use of photographs share on any social network shall be based on the terms and conditions of respective social network.
Third Party Sites and Services:
We are not responsible for the use of any data by third parties, and we cannot vouch for the privacy policies of any third party. The Application may link to or use web sites or services belonging to third parties. We have no control over third-party sites or services, and all use of third-party sites or services is at your own risk.
Parties with whom we may share your information:
We may share User Content and your information (including but not limited to, device information, location data, and usage data) with businesses that are legally part of the same group of companies that TMAP is part of, or Toyota. TMAP and Toyota may use this information to help provide, understand, and improve the Application (including by providing analytics and providing you with better and more relevant experiences). TMAP and Toyota will honor the choices you make about who can see your photos.
We also may share your information as well as device information, location data and usage data, with third-party organizations that help us provide the Application to you ("Service Providers"). Our Service Providers will be given access to your information as is reasonably necessary to provide the Application under reasonable confidentiality terms.
Responding to legal requests and preventing harm:
We may access, preserve and share your information in response to a legal request (like a search warrant, court order or subpoena) if we have a good faith that the law requires us to do so. This may include responding to legal requests from jurisdictions outside of Singapore where we have a good faith that the response is required by law in that jurisdiction, affects users in that jurisdiction, and is consistent with internationally recognized standards. Participants are to meet the following criteria in order for them to redeem the rewards stated on Toyota Safety Center:
Participants must not be staff of Toyota or any of Toyota's affiliate businesses.
Participants must reside in Cambodia, Indonesia, Pakistan or the Philippines.
Participants must upload a minimum of one Seat Selfie onto Toyota Safety Center prior to making a redemption.
Participants are required to register through Toyota Seat Selfie App and create a password on Toyota Safety Center with the said log-in credentials.
Participants will accumulate credits by completing the safety activities on Toyota Safety Center. Credits can be used to redeem items on Toyota Safety Center.
Participants will only be able to accumulate credits by partaking in activities after they have logged in to Toyota Safety Center. Failure to log in before taking part in activities will result in participants not getting the said credits.
Credits for Seat Selfie and Safety Pledge will only be given after the photo submission has been approved by Toyota Safety Center team. Approval can take up to 2 working days.
Credits accumulated are associated to the log-in username and email address. Should the participants change their log-in username and/or email address at any point in time after point accumulation begins, they are required to restart from zero credits.
Selfies taken are associated to the log-in username and email address. Should participants change their log-in username and/or email address at any point in time after they have taken their first selfie, they will not be able to access their old selfies from the previous username/email address.
By participating in the Toyota Safety Center, you affirm that your photo submissions for Seat Selfie and Safety Pledge are original and do not infringe the rights of any person or entity. You acknowledge ownership of your entry and shall be solely responsible for all the rights and obligations associated therein. You also assure that the use of your entry does not violate any law and will not cause injury to any person or entity, and that you will indemnify Toyota or its affiliates for all claims resulting from the materials you submit. Toyota is not liable for any copyright or trademark infringement caused by you.
In countries that support Home Delivery of rewards, you affirm that the address submitted is correct and complete. Toyota is not liable for any loss of reward resulting from the incorrect and/or incomplete address provided, and that you will indemnify Toyota for all claims resulting from this.
